Your DBT therapist is trained in how to guide you in using your coping skills in order to get through difficult moments.  The skills we encourage during intersession coaching include: Distress Tolerance, pros and cons, and others to improve emotion regulation  and interpersonal relationships.
Calls/emails/texts are less than 10 minutes long.

While intersession contact cannot replace therapy, and are 5 - 15 minutes in duration, they are designed to help the clients decide which skills to employ to best reduce their suffering and create a positive outcome.
