wellspring began as Maamawi Counselling Centre several years ago. Focused on supporting Indian Residential School survivors, we have evolved into an agency that provides evidence-based, compassionate, culturally affirming psychotherapy to Indigenous individuals, couples and families throughout Northwestern Ontario.
Suffering is optional. Life is a verb. During difficult transitions, sometimes we need a skilled, sympathetic ear to help us find the path forward. If you are feeling stuck in the mud, spinning your wheels, or overwhelmed with doubt; is you are facing an unexpected loss or have experienced trauma, therapy can help.
Our strength is the depth and breadth of our practice. We have clients from Fort Severn to Slate Falls; from Mishkeegogamang to Lac Seul. Regardless of where you are, we can provide Telehealth services, or bring you to Thunder Baymeet with your therapist face to face through the NIHB program.
